This policy explains what personal information The Stig Motoring School collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

Our lawful basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our service. We do not use your details for marketing unless you have separately agreed to it, and we never sell your information.
When you submit the contact form, your details are sent to us by email through our website host's mail service so that we can reply. Our website is hosted by Hostinger, and form submissions are delivered to our email inbox. We keep enquiry emails only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting lessons, after which they are deleted.
A small number of third parties may receive limited information as a normal part of the site working:
This website sets no cookies at all, and stores nothing on your device. There is no tracking cookie, no advertising cookie and no local storage. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no consent banner to click through.
We keep a simple count of how many times each page is loaded, so we can see which pages are useful and which are not. This runs on our own server and the information never leaves it.
What is recorded: the page address, the date and time, and the domain that referred you, for example google.com. We record the domain only, never the full referring address, because that can contain what you searched for.
What is not recorded: your IP address, any identifier, anything about your device, or anything you type into the enquiry form. There is no way for us to tell one visitor from another, or to follow anyone from page to page.
A small script also tells us whether a page was opened by a real browser rather than an automated crawler, and roughly how long it was open. It stores nothing on your device and sends nothing that identifies you.
The result is a set of counts, such as "this page was loaded 40 times last week". Because those counts are not linked to any person, they are not personal information.
